Dr Shaun Fleming

Shaun Fleming is a general and malignant haematologist who practices as both a clinical haematologist and haematopathologist. With training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Peter MacCallum, Melbourne Pathology and The Royal Melbourne Hospital prior to proceeding into a fellowship in Acute Leukaemia at the Alfred Hospital, he has extensive skills in the management of both malignant and benign haematologic disorders, and in the interpretation of haematology tests.

In addition to practice at the Epworth in Richmond, Shaun is a clinical and laboratory haematologist at the Alfred Hospital where he is an investigator on several clinical trials in leukaemia and myelodysplasia and conducts clinical and translational research into Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

Shaun has a particular interested in leukaemia and related myeloid disorders such as myelodysplasia. Shaun is also able to provide expert management of other malignant haematologic disorders such as lymphoma, and management of thrombosis, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
